I am reviewing the fantasy novel The Lore Of The Evermen by James Maxwell which is a very good book that I read on kindle unlimited. This is the concluding volume of the Evermen Saga although there is also a book of associated tales. Sadly it appears James hasn’t written any other books yet. The plot to this book is Miro has conquered the kingdom that is rightfully his. Scythian an ex everman is intent on conquering this whole land and every kingdom. He comes from a kingdom with the equivalent population of the entire land mass and attacks on several fronts at once. Anywhere they attack they slaughter the entire population and bring back to life any potential commanders or soldiers and they join his army. Miro’s army is initially defeated but they fetch reinforcements. Elle Miro’s sister and one of their royal family achieves her status as a everman and is also given a ring by Katherine her mother that will heat up throw fire when a magical word is said. I think this book is a worthy addition to the series and enjoyed it very much. I do recommend it. Apparently James was in Malta soaking up the culture when he wrote this book. He travels around the world getting inspiration for his books.
